Effective Feb. 1, 2027, the NCLEX registration fee for Canadian exam writers will be CAD570. (The fee for US writers will be USD350).
This is the first adjustment to the NCLEX registration fee since 2000. The change reflects 25 years of inflation and rising costs associated with exams, data protection and cybersecurity. As nursing practice, technology and security requirements have evolved over time, the NCLEX has continued to evolve as well. Maintaining a secure, reliable licensure examination is an essential part of helping regulators protect the public and ensuring candidates are prepared for safe entry-level practice.
Those who complete their registration before Feb. 1, 2027, will be charged the current fee. Those who register on or after Feb. 1, 2027, will be charged the adjusted fee. The exam date does not affect the fee. This applies to all NCLEX registrations, including retakes.
No other NCLEX fees are changing. International scheduling fees and change fees will remain the same, and the REx-PN examination fee is not affected.
